Dr. Samuel Lee is an Executive-in-Residence at CincyTech where he provides guidance to portfolio companies and a unique perspective to our diligence process. He is also the Co-Founder, President, and Chief Business Officer at Eikonoklastes Therapeutics, Inc.
“I’m a physician by training and thought I would be practicing anesthesia for the rest of my career. But I’m too much of a science geek! I looked around the operating room and was frustrated that everything we were using to help patients was something that someone else had developed 10, 20, 30+ years ago. Early-stage investing and entrepreneurship keeps me at the esoteric forefront of building things today that we will take for granted in the future.”
Sam co-founded Eikonoklastes in 2019 and is the President and Chief Business Officer and serves as a member of its Board of Directors. He brings a multidisciplinary convergence of experiences in the life sciences, physical sciences, and computer sciences to successfully develop breakthroughs in healthcare. Prior to Eikonoklastes, Sam was a Director at CincyTech, where he led several successful investments and actively supported operations in biotech and medical device portfolio companies.
Sam completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at Miami University, medical training at the University of Cincinnati, formal business and public health education at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Johns Hopkins, and post-graduate research fellowship at the Northwestern University and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center..
“Founders tend to beg for forgiveness rather than ask for permission. Successful ones do so ethically and with teamwork to make their vision of the future inevitable.”
